KINGSWOOD SCHOOL TRIP 2016

This term we have been learning all about Tim Peake, the first British ESA astronaut to to go on-board the International Space Station.

In honor of British Science Week 2016, we asked 'What would it be like to be an astronaut?'. The Y6's got to taste astronaut ice-cream, take part in an astronaut fitness training program, wrote space logs, built their own space station model and even looked into the 1969 moon landing conspiracy!

Take a look at the fantastic Titanic models made by Y6 for their home learning challenge!

A big thank you to all parents who may have helped with this task.  The year 6 team were amazed by them!

In Y6 we had a great time designing and making our own soft toys!
Thank you so much to all the parents that came to our SATs information sharing meeting.  I know that many of you we shocked as to the difficulty of the papers we shared.  Please keep asking the teachers if you need any further information. smiley

As part of our Viking project we went to Danelaw and had a fantastic time learning to be Vikings!

On Wednesday 7th October our school took part in 'No pen day 2015' to help raise awareness of the importance of speech, language and communication skills.  For an entire day children enjoyed a variety of speaking and listening activities such as: debates, drama, practical investigations, presentations and loads of other exciting things. Here are some of the things we got up to….
