We have finished our topic on Explorers and this video shows some of our work.

Today we visited the Mount Tabor Church!  We were looking for Christian symbols.

We have started to make our class flag.  Every child has contributed in some way.  In Miss Ives' class each child has sewn their initial onto a leaf ready for their Panda class flag!

It has been NO PEN'S DAY this week!  Today, we learnt the story of The Magic Brush using Pie Corbett actions and we created our very own leaf men!

We have been working towards our class art project, which is to learn about different types of flags, make our own individual flag and contribute to our class flag.  This week we have designed and made our own paper flag.

In Year 2, we have been using Pie Corbett to help us with our writing, especially looking at connectives.  We performed our stories for parents and Key Stage 1 in assembly.  These pictures show the children performing the story 'How the World was made'.

In Year 2, we have been learning about what it is like to be an astronaut, in particular Neil Armstrong.  We have discussed what the journey in to space was like, what you would have to eat and even how it felt to walk on the Moon.  These are pictures of us pretending to be astronauts walking on the Moon!

This week the children have settled well and have this week and have been enjoying new and exciting activities!

Here are some photos to give you an idea of what we have been doing!
