During our English lessons we have been looking at The Three Little Pigs Story. We acted out the story using puppets and we have also been practising writing words to describe the characters in the story! The children have showed a real interest in this story and have enjoyed participating in each lesson.
The children have been celebrating and learning about the Hindu Festival of Light! The children made their own diwali lamps and pictures. The children enjoyed learning about this special occasion!
We have been learning to add two numbers together using a dice game. The children worked in pairs, each taking turns to roll the dice. They then had to add up each number shown on the dice. The children really enjoyed this activity, demonstrating good adding skills and number formation.
During this term in topic we have been looking at toys from the past till the present. The children have really enjoyed this topic so far! During this lesson the children had to sort out toys from different eras and place them into the correct place. They really enjoyed this task!
Year 1 have been very busy during their maths lessons. We have been learning part part whole. We have been doing some great learning!

The children have enjoyed joining in during their maths lessons. We have been sharing objects and comparing. We have also been matching numbers to quantity and forming our numbers correctly.
