New starters September 2021
Children In Need - We LOVED dressing up for CIN!! We joined in with Joe Wicks and we spoke all about raising money for charities.
We really enjoyed learning about the Festival of Lights - Diwali. We learnt all about the story of Rama and Sita. People who celebrate Diwali, decorate their homes with diva lamps and rangoli patterns - we had a go at making our own. Diwali is also celebrated by watching fireworks.

Autumn 2 Newsletter
Yesterday, we learnt all about Bonfire Night and why people celebrate. We also learnt about Firework and Bonfire Safety. We watched the link below to help us. Today, we enjoyed circle time sharing our Bonfire Night experiences; from hearing the fireworks in bed to our families setting off fireworks. All the children remembered the firework safety rules to help them stay safe :)
This week we have loved having lots of Autumnal enhancements in the classroom, we've particularly loved using them in our creative work. We also enjoyed talking about and creating firework pictures using different mark making materials including chalks, pastels and paints.
We really enjoy sharing familiar stories and we are beginning to use our phonic knowledge to help us to read CVC words
We are using fun ways to develop our gross and fine motor skills!
