Yo ho mateys away.....

In the 3-4 year old room we have had an excellent last week of the school year. We celebrated such a good year by having a pirate party on Wednesday. Parents and carers came in to join in with the activities. The children ended the party with a trio of pirate songs which the parents joined in singing to. We all had lots of fun! We wish all the school leaver children the best of luck for their new adventures!

A Sailor Went to Sea!

Look what we have been doing this week!

A harrrrrrr me hearties!

We have been all about pirates this half term in the 3-4 year old room! The children have made their own treasure maps, followed directions on a map to find the treasure outside where X marks the spot. They have been counting coins and talking about more and less whilst walking the plank.

They have had a very special visitor in school this week....... Sparky the parrot came in and he was on his best behaviour. The children talked about the colours of his feathers and asked lots of questions they even came and stroked his feathers. Sparky was a very happy parrot!

This term we are doing a six rhyme challenge.

The six rhymes we are learning the words and actions too are,

Zoom Zoom Zoom

Twinkle Twinke Chocolate Bar

This week we have been developing our fine and gross motor skills by doing lots of exciting activities outdoors. These included practicing our climbing skills and using water sprays to put out fires. We also painted a large box and pretended it was a fire engine.
