What better way to enjoy the sunshine than to spend the morning blowing bubbles! The children had lots of fun catching, popping and blowing bubbles high in to the sky. Blowing bubbles is such a good learning experience as we practice using our gross and fine motor skills and we get to do this whilst having fun!
We hope you had a lovely half term holiday. We are glad to be back... look at all the fun we have been having!
Lots of parents and children have been asking how it is we make our slime in nursery. We thought it would be easiest if we made a little video to show you our method and tricks.
Here is what you will need: PVA glue, Lidl's own washing gel and a colouring of your choice.
Once its complete you can add anything you like... glitter, googly eyes and perfumes to give it that X-Factor! I hope you enjoy making and playing with your slime.
Miss Park :)
In celebration of the Royal Wedding we dressed up as Prince's and Princesses.
Miss Park's group wanted to show you their group time warm up. Its very easy and a little bit noisy too!
This week in the 2-3 year old room, we have enjoyed playing outside in the sunshine! We have also been busy changing our babies nappies, reading stories and blowing bubbles in the paint. It's been lots of fun!

Celebrating a Birthday!
Snack time is our favourite time of the day, but today it was extra special because we got to celebrate our friends birthday. His Mummy bought us all lots of treats; sausage rolls, mini rolls, cake, chocolate buttons and lots more! We had so much fun and the birthday boy did too!
Thank you to everyone who came to our maths workshop. The children in nursery 2-3 loved looking at shapes, colours and counting the ducks!
We loved dressing up as our favourite characters for world book day! Can you guess who is who?
Welcome back to all our children! We hope you enjoyed the break! For those of you who celebrate Christmas, we hope Santa brought you some lovely presents and for those who don't, we hope you enjoyed some family time together.
We welcome our new children and families to nursery and hope you will enjoy the start of your learning journey with us here at Meynell.
Lots of parents and children enjoyed our Christmas mark-making workshop!
We decorated snowman biscuits, made playdough snowmen, decorated party hats, made paper chains, made marks in our shaving foam 'snow' and wrote letters to Santa! All the activities were planned to encourage children to use their hands to develop the control needed for writing.
We had fun with our friends on pyjama day! Nursery raised almost £70 for the children's hospital charity!
We have been learning how to look after our class guinea pig, Lilac. We have been using our kind and gentle hands to stroke her.
Welcome back to all our nursery children! We hope you will have a great term at nursery, making friends and learning lots of new things!
We welcome all our new children and look forward to having fun together at nursery!
