  • Extreme Heat arrangements

    Sat 16 Jul 2022

    Dear parents/carers

In light of the most recent extreme heat weather warning for Monday and Tuesday we have decided to make some alterations to the school day in order to safeguard your children and yourselves.

On Monday and Tuesday, the forecast predicts the temperatures to rise in the afternoon, so we will be open as usual in the morning, but can release the children from their usual gates from 12.30 after afternoon registration.  If you are unable to collect your child, please contact school via Seesaw or our school email, enquiries@meynell.sheffield.sch.uk

On Monday and Tuesday the afternoon sessions for the Nursery children will be cancelled.

On Monday the Year 4 river walk will unfortunately have to be cancelled.

On Tuesday the Year 6 prom will be rescheduled to Thursday 2.30 – 4.00 (Children can leave school at 1.00 in order to get ready)

PLEASE NOTE – we will only offer cold dinners on Monday and Tuesday in order to minimise the temperatures in the kitchen for our catering staff.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Please contact us on Seesaw message if you would like to discuss anything.

Mrs Garratt and the Meynell Team.
