Year 3 have enjoyed exploring observational drawings this term. They began by playing games such as drawing with their wrong hand and drawing with their eyes closed to make sure they were really observing the object. After that, they looked at techniques to create different lines and shading. This really allowed them to add detail to their drawings. We can't believe the progress from the first observational drawing to the last. Well done, Year 3!
This term Year 3 have been looking at the works of Van Gogh. They responded to his artwork by creating a Peak District landscape in the style of Van Gogh. We think you will agree that they did a fantastic job!
This term Year 3 had the opportunity to explore 3D form by looking at and recreating mud huts. They had to considered which materials would work best, design a final product and then create it. One of the toughest challenges was experimenting with materials to see how best to bind them. We are so proud of all of their hard work. This project was a huge success!
